How it works

    Consultation

    • Whether you have a crystal clear vision, or are looking for inspiration Alice will work with you to understand your needs and guide you through the possibilities.

    Development

    • Alice will visualise the design of your piece and share options for shape, embroidery design and fabric for your approval as appropriate.

    This stage can be wholly led by Alice, or more collaborative if you wish.

    Fitting

    • For pieces which require fitting Alice will arrange appointments at your convenience. Bespoke commissions will typically involve fitting a toile followed by a fitting once the piece is made up. This can be done in person or remotely.

    For clients outside the UK, where a video call may be necessary, Alice and her team can help you in providing measurements and with a virtual fitting.

    Molly's Story

    Having my wedding dress made by Alice was just so special. The excitement of the process and the joy of wearing the dress on the day itself are such blissful memories that I return to again and again in my mind.

    Ever since my husband and I got engaged (and before, to be honest!), I was dreaming about wearing an Alice Archer dress.

    Working with Alice to decide on the design was so exciting. The fittings were done at my convenience (with a final one near the time of the wedding to make sure we were good to go), and Alice was really flexible about making sure the shape was perfect (for example we decided to add arms onto the original shape I'd chosen to fit with the season and the traditional church setting).

    Choosing the materials and colours was so fun, and Alice was really clear and helpful about providing samples. We were having a spring wedding, and my family and I love going for walks in the English countryside: Alice cleverly drew on these influences to create the most stunning unique embroidery of hedgerow flowers.
